TMDK Introduction
The TDMK series rolling mill motor is specially designed for mine mill drive systems, manufactured strictly in accordance with JB/T 1473-2000 Technical Specifications for Large AC Three-Phase Synchronous Motors for Mine Mills. Ideal for indoor environments, the motors are suitable for applications with altitude not exceeding 1000m, ambient temperature ≤40℃, low dust concentration, and no steam, acid, alkali or other corrosive gases, ensuring reliable performance in harsh mining conditions.
Electrical Specifications
Rated at 50Hz with a power factor of 0.9 (leading), the rolling mill motors offer a rated voltage of 6kV or 10kV, and a 3kV version is available upon request. The rated voltage of mining synchronous motor tolerance is ±5%, providing flexibility for various grid conditions.
Mechanical & Design Features
The series rolling mill motor adopts an IP00 enclosure as standard (IP20 IP44 IP54 optional), coupled with IC01 (IC37 ICW37 optional) cooling method and IM731 structural/mounting type, ensuring compatibility with large mill drive systems. The motor is equipped with a cylindrical shaft, rotating counterclockwise when viewed from the slip ring end (clockwise optional). The shaft shall not bear additional radial or axial forces when connected to the mill via a coupling.
Excitation & Starting
The excitation system of ac synchronous permanent magnet electric motor employs a thyristor excitation device, enabling stable magnetic field control. Full-voltage direct start is permitted; for grids with strict constraints, reduced-voltage start is available. The starting current decreases proportionally with the terminal voltage, while the starting torque decreases as the square of the terminal voltage, optimizing start-up performance under different load conditions.
Wiring & Bearing System
The stator has six outgoing leads marked U1, V1, W1, U2, V2, W2, led out via high-voltage rubber cables at the lower terminal box of the base. The base bearings adopt oil-ring or composite bearings, with insulating pads between the bearing and base plate to prevent shaft current damage, significantly extending service life. For air clutch applications, the shaft can be customized with a perforated design upon request.
